Sweet

...Day Off!

I watched "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" this morning with coffee and some apple pie that Sarah made yesterday (I had dinner there last night with Dad & Ma, while Hayden drove to Philly to pick up a corgi puppy).

I drew Graewon:

And I did miscellaneous household chores while I hung out online playing Elvenar, reading "Harry Potter" #7, and eating pizza.

Stuff from Day Off 1 of 2:

The Rundown (through 4:00 pm):

  • I was up late watching "The Office" on Netflix, so I slept in 'til 10 am.
  • Breakfast was cereal, a banana, and a tall mug of Marley One Love coffee.
  • I read the last 200 pages of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".
  • I listened to Pete Yorn's "musicforthemorningafter" and Windy & Carl's "Consciousness".
  • I began "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix".

The Rundown (4:00 pm - 11:00 pm):
  • Lunch was a steak and mac & cheese.
  • I was online for awhile, doing online reading and playing Elvanar ("Chagburr the Strong").
  • I watched a whole lot of tv (sports, sitcoms, parts of nature docs, etc...) while doing the heavy inks and some figure coloring on "The Tawnies".
  • Supper was a toasted tuna fish sandwich and chips.
  • I listened to a bunch of Cocteau Twins songs on shuffle.
  • I did some headphones singing and drank a beer.

Lake Evening

I went to Niemi Cove from 5 to 8 pm tonight.

I dropped my goldish Red Sox coin into the water under the dock for the kids to 'discover'. It'll be interesting to see who snags it. Then I finished "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban". I drank half of a mediocre Wachusett Summer Ale and two New Belgium Brewing Company 8 Hop Pale Ales. I ate some Santitas chips, some Jack Links bacon jerky, and an apple. And I tested my new green float ring, but it's only big enough to dangle from inside, and not paddle around from sitting atop.

It was sunny and warm, a bit humid, and there were various bugs all around, but not too bothersome. After getting out of the water I began "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". I left a little after 8 pm, having enjoyed three glorious hours alone outdoors.

Hogwarts Visits

Time to reread the "Harry Potter" novels! I read them for the first time back in July/August of 2008, so I try to revisit them over the same time period each time I return. The last time was July/August of 2014. I finished "The Sorceror's Stone" a week ago, and just closed "The Chamber of Secrets" today...
