Hogwarts Visits

Time to reread the "Harry Potter" novels! I read them for the first time back in July/August of 2008, so I try to revisit them over the same time period each time I return. The last time was July/August of 2014. I finished "The Sorceror's Stone" a week ago, and just closed "The Chamber of Secrets" today...

    I'm in the middle of reading HP #3, and I watched the 2nd movie last night and this morning. It's ridiculous how much screen time they give Hagrid, to make the films more 'soft & cuddly'. Did he really deserve a 5-minute standing ovation at the end of "Chamber of Secrets"? Lame.

    I finished HP #3 and began HP #4 at the lake this evening. Also, I watched a big chunk of the HP#3 movie this morning.

    I finished HP #5 at 4:30. Notes: Hagrid is so annoying ("all righ' Harry?") that I skipped the bulk of the two chapters about him & his stupid half brother Grawp. Also, Hermione was a pain in the ass for much of the book. And lastly, I'll never get over what a waste Sirius' death was. Rather weak, forced, and anti-climactic...
